Wet pipe systems
Dry pipe fire sprinkler systems are designed for environments where freezing temperatures are a concern. These systems hold pressurized air or nitrogen in the piping, allowing water to flow only when a sprinkler activates. Capitol Sprinkler and Fire Systems designs and installs dry pipe systems that meet all applicable codes while providing reliable fire protection for unheated spaces such as warehouses, parking garages, and cold storage facilities.

Dry pipe systems
Wet pipe fire sprinkler systems are the most reliable and widely used form of fire protection. These systems keep water in the piping at all times, allowing for immediate response when a sprinkler activates. Capitol Sprinkler and Fire Systems designs and installs wet pipe systems that are code-compliant, efficient, and tailored to your facility’s specific hazards, providing dependable protection for occupants and property.

Pre-action systems
Pre-action fire sprinkler systems provide an added layer of protection for facilities where accidental water discharge could cause significant damage. These systems require a separate fire detection event before water is introduced into the piping, helping reduce the risk of unwanted activation. Capitol Sprinkler and Fire Systems designs and installs pre-action systems that deliver reliable, code-compliant fire protection for sensitive environments such as data centers, healthcare facilities, and high-value spaces.
Inspections & Testing
Annual inspections
A full system evaluation to confirm all sprinkler components operate correctly and meet Texas code requirements.
Quarterly and semi-annual checks where required
Targeted reviews of valves, gauges, and other key components to catch issues before they become system failures.
Five-year testing for certain components
Comprehensive internal pipe inspections and standpipe testing to identify corrosion, blockages, or wear that can restrict system performance.

Your questions answered
FAQs About Fire Sprinkler Systems
How often should my fire sprinkler system be inspected?
In Texas, most sprinkler systems require at least an annual inspection, with some needing quarterly checks. We’ll help you set the right schedule for compliance.
Do you service systems you didn’t install?
Yes. Our technicians are trained on all major sprinkler brands and can inspect, repair, or upgrade systems regardless of who installed them.
What’s the difference between wet and dry systems?
Wet systems contain water in the pipes at all times, making them fast and effective. Dry systems hold pressurized air and only release water when a head opens—ideal for unheated spaces.
What should I do if a sprinkler head accidentally discharges?
Call us immediately. Our 24/7 team can shut down the system, replace the head, and restore service quickly to minimize water damage.
Can sprinklers cause more damage than the fire?
Sprinklers release far less water than a fire hose, and they typically activate only in the affected area. The damage from sprinklers is far less than the damage caused by an uncontrolled fire.

The individual attention I receive from my operations manager is by far the best I've received in the business in over 20 years. He's personable, prompt, professional and explains everything to me in layman's terms so that I can understand! In the rare occasions that I have a leak spring up, James is quick to get the issue resolved. When I had more than a "leak" but a coupling that gave way, he personally was there giving a helping hand to get the work corrected timely. Hands down one of the best service providers I have the pleasure of working with. We have used Capitol Sprinkler for several years now and they never let us down. They are great at what they do and their customer service is superior!Posted on Christy SprinkleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Capitol Sprinkler, and their Operations Manager, James Puckett, are amazing. I am involved in a condominium community with an outdated fire protection system (heads, pipes, panel, backflow, all of it), with various different failed inspection items across different buildings. It was very overwhelming and difficult to battle all at once or even begin until we found Capitol Sprinkler. We tried to work with many other companies before that but all of them seemed to struggle making any progress. James worked with us patiently and provided practical solutions to correct the items one-by-one. Both he and the owner, Ben Griffin, have also been instrumental in helping us engage with our insurance and the fire marshal where appropriate while we work to correct our system. It has never felt like they are in it for the money. Our safety and practical solutions for our community have been their top priority. Thank you so much Ben, James and your team at Capitol Sprinkler.Posted on John LawsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. During a routine (semi-annual) inspection of exhaust hoods and their fire suppression systems, the ANSUL was accidentally tripped on a 60 foot cook line affecting the 16 foodservice businesses operating in our shared kitchen space at Prep ATX. Capital Sprinkler & Fire Systems' director of operations was on site within 15 minutes of receiving the call from his technician onsite. Within minutes of his arrival he made the calls necessary to dispatch all available technicians to immediately begin the process of cleaning up the discharged chemical from the hoods, filters, and cooking equipment below the hood. There were a total of eight persons on site from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. getting the clean up accomplished. No one took a lunch, no one took a break, no one had "other things to do". They came, and they stayed until the last drop was mopped and dried up. It is extremely rare to find a contractor that is more concerned with solving the immediate problem than their personal concern for negating responsibility in these situations. It is this "let's fix the problem first" attitude that makes Capital Sprinkler & Fire Systems the outstanding contractor that they are. Prep ATX is proud and privileged to have Capital Sprinkler and Fire Systems as a preferred vending partner and will be happy to recommend their services, across the board.
